Sanofi Enters Strategic Manufacturing Collaboration with
Boehringer Ingelheim To Produce Biologics

Sanofi announced today it has entered into a strategic agreement with Boehringer Ingelheim for the manufacture of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies to reinforce Sanofi's manufacturing capacity to support upcoming product launches. Today, 72 percent of Sanofi's Research and Development projects are in biologics, nearly half of which are monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). 

Under the terms of the agreement, Sanofi will have access to Boehringer Ingelheim's capabilities in Biberach an der Riss, Germany to transfer and manufacture therapeutic mAbs. Initial product transfers will begin in early 2015. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Oct 28 , 2019　 GSK , Antibiotics GSK starts a phase III clinical programme for a potential first-in-class antibiotic, gepotidacin GSKは新規作用機序の抗生物質となりうる gepotidacin（ゲポチダシン）の第3相臨床プログラムを開始した。耐性淋菌感染600例、単純性尿路感染1200例を対象として2021年末の結果判定を目標とする。 （参考） gepotidacin はトポイソメラーゼIIの阻害薬である。（ Wikipedia ） トポイソメラーゼ阻害薬はヤクルトが開発したイリノテカン（カンプト）など抗がん剤として確立されている。既存の抗菌剤として代表的なレボフロキサシン（クラビット、第一三共）もDNAトポイソメラーゼ（細菌ではDNAジャイレース）の阻害を作用機序とする。新たに開発されたゲポチダシンがキノロン骨格をもたない化学構造によって効果にどのような差異をもたらすか注目したい。

サノフィはリジェネロンとの資本関係を解消

05/29 Sanofi , Restructuring Sanofi announces closing of Regeneron stock sale > As a result of the offering, Sanofi has sold its entire equity investment in Regeneron, for total gross proceeds amounting to $11.7 billion. サノフィは保有するリジェネロンの株式売却を完了し、売却額は117億ドル（1兆2000億円）に達した。資本関係を解消したのちも2003年から続く提携関係は変更しない。

DS-1062 とペムブロリズマブとの併用臨床試験の実施に関する契約締結

第一三共は、抗TROP2 ADC 藥DS-1062 と免疫チェックポイント阻害剤抗PD-1 抗体キイトルーダ (一般名：ペムブロリズマブ)との併用療法を評価する臨床試験の実施に関する契約をMerck & Co., Inc.の子会社と締結した。 本契約に基づき、第一三共は、活性化遺伝子異常の無い進行・転移性非小細胞肺癌患者を対象とした両剤併用の第1 相臨床試験を実施する。本試験は2 つのパートからなり、パート1(用量漸増パート)では、DS-1062 の用量漸増試験で、安全性と忍容性を評価し、最大耐用量と推奨用量を決定する。パート2(用量拡大パート)では、両剤併用の推奨用量での安全性と忍容性を評価し、主要評価項目は両剤併用における最大耐用量、推奨用量での安全性と忍容性、副次評価項目は奏効率等である。
